All F-1 and J-1 visa holders are required to report a local U.S. address with the Department of Homeland Security within 10 days of arrival or within 10 days of an address change. The address must be your residential address complete with room number (if you are living within a residence hall) or apartment number. A campus departmental address, a P.O. Box, or a foreign address are not acceptable.

H1-B, TN, and Permanent Residents
To change a place of residences in the U.S., H1-B, TN and Permanent Residents must inform the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), Department of Homeland Security, within 10 days of such change. They must also report this information for dependents here with them. They must fill out a Form AR-11 to report the address change to the USCIS.
