Recharge & Other Fees

Below are the fee requirements and responsibilities for J-1, H-1B, and TN applications. Review the fees below, follow the instructions provided on the Scholar Recharge Form (link below), and keep a copy of this information for your records.

J-1 Scholars

Premium Processing for H-1B

Premium processing is an optional fee that USCIS charges to expedite petition processing in 15 days. Upgrading to premium processing can be done at any time during petition processing by payment of the fee above to USCIS. A department may determine that it becomes necessary if delays occur in filing the petition, petition is still pending close to the H-1B start date, or if international travel plans indicate a need for the employee to leave the U.S. urgently.
